I am a journalist based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. My primary research interests revolve around questions of labour.

Constitutional coups. Bombs. Riots. Elections. Pandemics. Deforestation. Famine. Economic Crises. Poverty. Protests. State-sponsored violence. Repression. This is just a minute list of some of the issues I have covered and analysed since 2017. My pieces have appeared in The Washington Post, The Guardian, Aljazeera, Foreign Policy, South China Morning Post, VICE, ABC Australia and SBS. I mostly produce reported essays, analysis and op-eds.

I have an upcoming short story collection, an essay collection and a chapbook. I also edit articles, research papers and policy proposals.
